Tim Bainey Jr. & the #00 Aaron’s Lucky Dog Truck Team’s Run
at Indy Spoiled by Steering Problems
It was a
tough day at ORP for Tim Jr. and the Aaron’s Dream Team. After a promising
day of practice, the #00 Aaron’s Lucky Dog Truck would develop mechanical
problems in the steering system and see them end the night with a 31st
place finish in the AAA Insurance 200 at ORP.
“We
really worked hard today to get our Aaron’s Truck in shape for tonight’s
race, and for it to end so early… it’s pretty disappointing for us,” said
Tim Jr.

Making
only their 2nd start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series,
Tim Jr. and the Aaron’s Dream Team constantly improved throughout the day.
They qualified 29th for the AAA Insurance 200 Event, and were
very optimistic about the way the truck ran in practice.
“We
worked on race setup all day,” said Tim Jr. “We ran our best time in
practice on our very last run, on old tires, and I was really comfortable
with the truck. We were pulling down pit road to make our sticker run and
they threw the red flag to end practice.”
“We ended
up being a little tight in qualifying and I’m sure we would have loosened it
up a little bit had we got that run in… but overall – I’m thrilled with the
way things are coming together for our Aaron’s Lucky Dog Truck Team. I mean
– for only our 2nd trip out at this level – it’s hard to not be
smiling about where we are at!”
“I have
to thank everyone at Aaron’s for allowing us to be out here doing this,” Tim
Jr. added. “Nights like this are tough, but we’ll head back to the shop and
get things ready for Bristol. We’ve ran really well there in the past and I
think it’s a place where we are going to be able to really turn some heads
in a few weeks.”
